SATMAR LEUCATE OPERATION
The operation based in Leucate is expanding to build a new oyster hatchery. The new unit will be completely separate from the "clams facilities", and SATMAR will be in a position to supply oyster spat specifically born and grown in the Mediterranean.

SATMAR MARENNES OPERATION
The operation based in Marennes is developing. The nursery is being refurbished in order to have high tech equipment.

SELECTION FRANCAISE CONCHYLICOLE - SFC
Four French hatcheries -- SATMAR, France Turbot, SODABO, Vendée Naissain -- have pooled resources in order to create a research unit to improve the quality and resistance of oysters. The research center called SFC includes a hatchery based in Noirmoutiers (Vendée). The project was launched in May 2009 to produce and select families according to their performance.
